Mediterranean living room with a statement ceiling light in Gokulam, Mysuru

About this design

This Mediterranean living room was designed for a joint family of six at Bluebell Park, Gokulam, Mysuru. The brief asked for a TV wall that hides the wiring, so the team built a panelled TV wall with a cable duct behind it.

The palette is whitewash, sea blue and terracotta, with arches, lime-washed walls and terracotta floors. Main materials: lime wash, terracotta tiles, arched niches and rattan. In Mysuru, windows were kept clear for cross-ventilation so the home needs little air conditioning.

Work on site took about 3 weeks after the design was signed off, and the approximate cost was ₹6 lakh for a 202 sq ft room, including GST. Treat it as a reference: brands, site conditions and the city change the final price.
