About this design

This modern 2 BHK apartment renovation was designed for a family of four with two school-going children at Jacaranda Heights, Yelahanka, Bengaluru. The brief asked for space for guests without a dedicated guest room, so the team designed a sofa-cum-bed corner in the study.

The palette is warm white, greige and walnut, with handle-less shutters and slim profile lights. Main materials: matte laminate, quartz, black metal trims and fluted glass. In Bengaluru, windows were kept clear for cross-ventilation so the home needs little air conditioning.

Work on site took about 10 weeks after the design was signed off, and the approximate cost was ₹19.1 lakh for 1,093 sq ft of carpet area, including GST. Treat it as a reference: brands, site conditions and the city change the final price.
