Modern U-shaped kitchen in T Nagar, Chennai

About this design

This modern U-shaped kitchen was designed for a couple with a toddler and a dog at Kingfisher Court, T Nagar, Chennai. The brief asked for more storage for a family that cooks every day, so the team added a tall pantry with pull-outs and deep tandem drawers.

The palette is warm white, greige and walnut, with handle-less shutters and slim profile lights. Main materials: matte laminate, quartz, black metal trims and fluted glass. In Chennai, BWP plywood, sealed board edges and stainless hardware stand up to the humid, salty air.

Work on site took about 6 weeks after the design was signed off, and the approximate cost was ₹3.3 lakh for a 91 sq ft room, including GST. Treat it as a reference: brands, site conditions and the city change the final price.
