Do luxury interior designers charge a design fee?
Many architect-led practices charge a design fee in addition to execution, often worked out as a percentage of the project value or as a rate per square foot. Turnkey studios usually build the design cost into the quotation. Ask for the fee basis in writing before the first drawing.
How long does a luxury interior project take?
Plan for four to six months for a large apartment or villa once the design is approved. Veneer, PU paint, stone and made-to-order furniture need longer making and finishing time than laminate modules.
Is a luxury interior designer worth it for an apartment?
It is worth it when you want every room designed from scratch, custom furniture and closely detailed finishes. If most of the work is a kitchen and wardrobes, a design-and-build firm with modular systems usually gives better value.
