Bandra, on the western coast between Mahim and Khar, mixes old bungalows and low-rise buildings in Pali Hill, Chapel Road and the villages with sea-facing towers along Carter Road and Bandstand. It is also home to a number of design studios. This page lists studios based in Bandra West and Mumbai firms that regularly work here. Homes in Bandra
- Bungalows and old buildings. Plan for rewiring, waterproofing and termite treatment before interiors, and check any rules on facades and windows.
- Redeveloped towers. Many older plots have been rebuilt as high-rises; interiors in these flats usually start from a builder finish.
- Sea-facing apartments. Salt air is hard on metals and some veneers. Ask for marine-grade boards near water and corrosion-resistant hardware; see the marine plywood guide.
Estimate your interior cost in Bandra
Every home is different, so we do not publish price bands for the firms on this page. Use our interior cost calculator to build an itemised estimate for your rooms in Mumbai, with the exact board, finish and fittings, then ask each firm to quote the same list. Comparing line by line shows where quotations really differ.
Practical tips for Bandra projects
- Parking and deliveries. Lanes in Pali Hill and the villages are narrow; agree delivery and debris-removal times with the society and neighbours.
- Heritage character. If you want to keep old features such as tiles, arches or wooden windows, say so in the brief; restoration takes longer and costs more than replacement.
- See finished work. Studios here are often design-led; ask to see a completed home, not only photographs.
