Mediterranean 5 BHK duplex with a double-height living room in HSR Layout, Bengaluru

About this design

This Mediterranean 5 BHK duplex was designed for retired parents moving closer to their children at Olive Grove Residency, HSR Layout, Bengaluru. The brief asked for a quiet corner for work calls, so the team built a study nook with an acoustic panel in the guest room.

The palette is whitewash, sea blue and terracotta, with arches, lime-washed walls and terracotta floors. Main materials: lime wash, terracotta tiles, arched niches and rattan. In Bengaluru, windows were kept clear for cross-ventilation so the home needs little air conditioning.

Work on site took about 22 weeks after the design was signed off, and the approximate cost was ₹55.6 lakh for 3,611 sq ft of carpet area, including GST. Treat it as a reference: brands, site conditions and the city change the final price.
