Bohemian walk-in wardrobe with an island in Hebbal, Bengaluru

About this design

This bohemian walk-in wardrobe was designed for a young professional living alone at Teakwood Heights, Hebbal, Bengaluru. The brief asked for a wardrobe that does not crowd the room, so the team used sliding shutters with a mirror panel.

The palette is mustard, olive and rust, with layered rugs, rattan and lots of plants. Main materials: rattan, macrame, kilim rugs and mango wood. In Bengaluru, windows were kept clear for cross-ventilation so the home needs little air conditioning.

Work on site took about 3 weeks after the design was signed off, and the approximate cost was ₹3.7 lakh for a 64 sq ft room, including GST. Treat it as a reference: brands, site conditions and the city change the final price.
