Biophilic home office with acoustic panels in Gachibowli, Hyderabad

About this design

This biophilic home office was designed for a couple returning from abroad at Peacock Habitat, Gachibowli, Hyderabad. The brief asked for a quiet space for video calls, so the team added acoustic panels and a solid-core door.

The palette is leaf green, sand and wood, with indoor plants, natural light and natural materials. Main materials: planter walls, natural stone, jute and solid wood. In Hyderabad, light, heat-reflecting colours, blackout curtains and units kept off hot west walls help through the summer.

Work on site took about 3 weeks after the design was signed off, and the approximate cost was ₹1.3 lakh for a 105 sq ft room, including GST. Treat it as a reference: brands, site conditions and the city change the final price.
