This biophilic kids room was designed for a doctor couple with long shifts at Silverbirch Enclave, Kohima Village, Kohima. The brief asked for a room that grows with the child, so the team used adjustable shelves and a desk that can be raised.
The palette is leaf green, sand and wood, with indoor plants, natural light and natural materials. Main materials: planter walls, natural stone, jute and solid wood. In Kohima, warm wood finishes, insulated wall panels and thick rugs keep the rooms comfortable in cold months.
Work on site took about 4 weeks after the design was signed off, and the approximate cost was ₹2.9 lakh for a 206 sq ft room, including GST. Treat it as a reference: brands, site conditions and the city change the final price.
