About this design

This traditional Indian bathroom was designed for a young professional living alone at Juniper Enclave, Banamalipur, Agartala. The brief asked for a bathroom that stays dry and easy to clean, so the team split the wet and dry zones with a glass partition.

The palette is turmeric, deep red and peacock green, with carved teak, brass accents and handloom upholstery. Main materials: solid teak, brass inlay, handloom fabric and kota stone. In Agartala, windows were kept clear for cross-ventilation so the home needs little air conditioning.

Work on site took about 3 weeks after the design was signed off, and the approximate cost was ₹5.6 lakh for a 60 sq ft room, including GST. Treat it as a reference: brands, site conditions and the city change the final price.
