About this design

This traditional Indian 5 BHK duplex was designed for retired parents moving closer to their children at Cinnamon Vista, Vasant Kunj, Delhi. The brief asked for more storage without making the rooms feel smaller, so the team used floor-to-ceiling wardrobes with lofts and a bed with hydraulic storage.

The palette is turmeric, deep red and peacock green, with carved teak, brass accents and handloom upholstery. Main materials: solid teak, brass inlay, handloom fabric and kota stone. In Delhi, light, heat-reflecting colours, blackout curtains and units kept off hot west walls help through the summer.

Work on site took about 23 weeks after the design was signed off, and the approximate cost was ₹70.5 lakh for 2,649 sq ft of carpet area, including GST. Treat it as a reference: brands, site conditions and the city change the final price.
