Transitional home office with acoustic panels on Rajpur Road, Dehradun

About this design

This transitional home office was designed for retired parents moving closer to their children at Mango Orchard Greens, Rajpur Road, Dehradun. The brief asked for a desk that does not take over the bedroom, so the team used a wall-mounted desk with shelves above.

The palette is warm grey, navy and brass, with shaker shutters and clean modern lines. Main materials: shaker shutters, quartz, linen upholstery and antique brass. In Dehradun, warm wood finishes, insulated wall panels and thick rugs keep the rooms comfortable in cold months.

Work on site took about 3 weeks after the design was signed off, and the approximate cost was ₹2.2 lakh for a 145 sq ft room, including GST. Treat it as a reference: brands, site conditions and the city change the final price.
