Contemporary island kitchen in Vesu, Surat

About this design

This contemporary island kitchen was designed for a first-time home buyer at Seashell Nest, Vesu, Surat. The brief asked for more storage for a family that cooks every day, so the team added a tall pantry with pull-outs and deep tandem drawers.

The palette is soft taupe, teal and brass, with curved edges and layered lighting. Main materials: PU-finish shutters, engineered wood, brushed brass and textured paint. In Surat, BWP plywood, sealed board edges and stainless hardware stand up to the humid, salty air.

Work on site took about 4 weeks after the design was signed off, and the approximate cost was ₹2.8 lakh for a 116 sq ft room, including GST. Treat it as a reference: brands, site conditions and the city change the final price.
