Contemporary island kitchen in Sarabha Nagar, Ludhiana

About this design

This contemporary island kitchen was designed for a young professional living alone at Sarabha Nagar, Ludhiana. The brief asked for built-in appliances, so the team stacked the oven and microwave in a tall unit at eye level.

The palette is soft taupe, teal and brass, with curved edges and layered lighting. Main materials: PU-finish shutters, engineered wood, brushed brass and textured paint. In Ludhiana, light, heat-reflecting colours, blackout curtains and units kept off hot west walls help through the summer.

Work on site took about 5 weeks after the design was signed off, and the approximate cost was ₹5.3 lakh for a 104 sq ft room, including GST. Treat it as a reference: brands, site conditions and the city change the final price.
