Contemporary living room with a lime-plaster accent wall in Kharadi, Pune

About this design

This contemporary living room was designed for a couple returning from abroad at Teakwood Habitat, Kharadi, Pune. The brief asked for seating for family gatherings, so the team used an L-shaped sofa with two loose chairs.

The palette is soft taupe, teal and brass, with curved edges and layered lighting. Main materials: PU-finish shutters, engineered wood, brushed brass and textured paint. In Pune, windows were kept clear for cross-ventilation so the home needs little air conditioning.

Work on site took about 4 weeks after the design was signed off, and the approximate cost was ₹2.5 lakh for a 342 sq ft room, including GST. Treat it as a reference: brands, site conditions and the city change the final price.
