About this design

This traditional Indian 2 BHK independent house renovation was designed for a first-time home buyer at Willow Heights, Arera Colony, Bhopal. The brief asked for a kitchen two people can cook in together, so the team planned a parallel kitchen with a clear 1.2 m aisle.

The palette is turmeric, deep red and peacock green, with carved teak, brass accents and handloom upholstery. Main materials: solid teak, brass inlay, handloom fabric and kota stone. In Bhopal, light, heat-reflecting colours, blackout curtains and units kept off hot west walls help through the summer.

Work on site took about 9 weeks after the design was signed off, and the approximate cost was ₹11 lakh for 1,061 sq ft of carpet area, including GST. Treat it as a reference: brands, site conditions and the city change the final price.
