About this design

This Indo-colonial bathroom was designed for a young professional living alone at Banyan Tree Heights, Sector 150, Noida. The brief asked for a bathroom that stays dry and easy to clean, so the team split the wet and dry zones with a glass partition.

The palette is ivory, teak brown and bottle green, with cane-back chairs, louvred shutters and patterned tiles. Main materials: cane weave, teak, athangudi tiles and wrought iron. In Noida, light, heat-reflecting colours, blackout curtains and units kept off hot west walls help through the summer.

Work on site took about 3 weeks after the design was signed off, and the approximate cost was ₹2 lakh for a 56 sq ft room, including GST. Treat it as a reference: brands, site conditions and the city change the final price.

Highlights

  • Wall-hung WC and vanity for easy cleaning
