Transitional living room with a cane-back sofa in DLF Phase 3, Gurugram

About this design

This transitional living room was designed for a first-time home buyer at Quartz Nest, DLF Phase 3, Gurugram. The brief asked for seating for family gatherings, so the team used an L-shaped sofa with two loose chairs.

The palette is warm grey, navy and brass, with shaker shutters and clean modern lines. Main materials: shaker shutters, quartz, linen upholstery and antique brass. In Gurugram, light, heat-reflecting colours, blackout curtains and units kept off hot west walls help through the summer.

Work on site took about 3 weeks after the design was signed off, and the approximate cost was ₹6.3 lakh for a 238 sq ft room, including GST. Treat it as a reference: brands, site conditions and the city change the final price.
