Contemporary layered gypsum ceiling in Sector 15, Faridabad

About this design

This contemporary layered gypsum ceiling was designed for a family of four with two school-going children at Marigold Residency, Sector 15, Faridabad. The brief asked for hiding AC pipes and beams, so the team boxed them into a peripheral ceiling with access panels.

The palette is soft taupe, teal and brass, with curved edges and layered lighting. Main materials: PU-finish shutters, engineered wood, brushed brass and textured paint. In Faridabad, light, heat-reflecting colours, blackout curtains and units kept off hot west walls help through the summer.

Work on site took about 2 weeks after the design was signed off, and the approximate cost was ₹2.3 lakh for about 700 sq ft, including GST. Treat it as a reference: brands, site conditions and the city change the final price.
