Mid-century modern bathroom with a freestanding tub in Thane West, Thane

About this design

This mid-century modern bathroom was designed for a young professional living alone at Laurel Gardens, Thane West, Thane. The brief asked for a bathroom that stays dry and easy to clean, so the team split the wet and dry zones with a glass partition.

The palette is walnut, teal and burnt orange, with tapered legs, walnut veneer and globe lights. Main materials: walnut veneer, tapered legs, terrazzo and boucle fabric. In Thane, BWP plywood, sealed board edges and stainless hardware stand up to the humid, salty air.

Work on site took about 4 weeks after the design was signed off, and the approximate cost was ₹6.1 lakh for a 44 sq ft room, including GST. Treat it as a reference: brands, site conditions and the city change the final price.
