About this design

This mid-century modern 3 BHK apartment was designed for a couple returning from abroad at Cedar Ridge Gardens, Powai, Mumbai. The brief asked for space for guests without a dedicated guest room, so the team designed a sofa-cum-bed corner in the study.

The palette is walnut, teal and burnt orange, with tapered legs, walnut veneer and globe lights. Main materials: walnut veneer, tapered legs, terrazzo and boucle fabric. In Mumbai, BWP plywood, sealed board edges and stainless hardware stand up to the humid, salty air.

Work on site took about 10 weeks after the design was signed off, and the approximate cost was ₹13.9 lakh for 1,278 sq ft of carpet area, including GST. Treat it as a reference: brands, site conditions and the city change the final price.
