Contemporary compact bathroom with a niche in Wakad, Pune

About this design

This contemporary compact bathroom was designed for retired parents moving closer to their children at Hazelwood Towers, Wakad, Pune. The brief asked for more storage in a small bathroom, so the team added a mirror cabinet and a niche in the shower.

The palette is soft taupe, teal and brass, with curved edges and layered lighting. Main materials: PU-finish shutters, engineered wood, brushed brass and textured paint. In Pune, windows were kept clear for cross-ventilation so the home needs little air conditioning.

Work on site took about 5 weeks after the design was signed off, and the approximate cost was ₹1.8 lakh for a 57 sq ft room, including GST. Treat it as a reference: brands, site conditions and the city change the final price.
