Industrial coffee bar with a shopfront in Viman Nagar, Pune

About this design

This industrial coffee bar was designed for a young fashion label at Amberleaf Café, Viman Nagar, Pune. The brief asked for a shopfront that stands out on a busy road, so the team used a bold awning, clear signage and warm lights.

The palette is charcoal, rust and concrete grey, with metal frames, exposed brick and Edison bulbs. Main materials: exposed brick tiles, metal frames, concrete-look laminate and reclaimed wood. In Pune, windows were kept clear for cross-ventilation so the home needs little air conditioning.

Work on site took about 6 weeks after the design was signed off, and the approximate cost was ₹14.5 lakh for about 672 sq ft, including GST. Treat it as a reference: brands, site conditions and the city change the final price.
