Modern kids room for two siblings in RS Puram, Coimbatore

About this design

This modern kids room for two siblings was designed for a first-time home buyer at Laurel Heights, RS Puram, Coimbatore. The brief asked for a safe play area, so the team rounded the corners and used a soft rug and washable paint.

The palette is warm white, greige and walnut, with handle-less shutters and slim profile lights. Main materials: matte laminate, quartz, black metal trims and fluted glass. In Coimbatore, windows were kept clear for cross-ventilation so the home needs little air conditioning.

Work on site took about 3 weeks after the design was signed off, and the approximate cost was ₹2.1 lakh for a 208 sq ft room, including GST. Treat it as a reference: brands, site conditions and the city change the final price.
