Minimalist wooden slat ceiling over the dining table on College Road, Nashik

About this design

This minimalist wooden slat ceiling over the dining table was designed for a first-time home buyer at Willow Vista, College Road, Nashik. The brief asked for hiding AC pipes and beams, so the team boxed them into a peripheral ceiling with access panels.

The palette is white, stone and light oak, with hidden storage and very few loose pieces. Main materials: white laminate, microcement, oak veneer and frosted glass. In Nashik, windows were kept clear for cross-ventilation so the home needs little air conditioning.

Work on site took about 1 weeks after the design was signed off, and the approximate cost was ₹1.4 lakh for about 845 sq ft, including GST. Treat it as a reference: brands, site conditions and the city change the final price.
